Laureen Forgione-Rubino, M.D., F.A.C.S.

I hope my patients feel the compassion I have for them and my dedication to helping them through a sometimes overwhelming process.

Safety is my main concern for any surgery. I continue to stay up-to-date on new technologies by attending conferences and training seminars. I also confer with my colleagues regarding new techniques and how their patients have responded. My career in surgery has trained me to handle stress and to prioritize. I’ve also learned to be grateful, understanding and calm.

I am a mother, and of course my greatest accomplishments are my kids. They make me laugh and I have grown up in all the ways I should have because of them. I’m thankful to my family for supporting me to become a surgeon. In my spare time I have been learning to play golf. It gets me outside, it’s portable and I will be able to play for a long time. I also like the short game a lot! My biggest influence in my career was my Dad. He was also a doctor and a really nice man, who loved his work and his patients. He was kind and warm and also funny!
